Sherry Rawn is from Ontario Canada, has two sons and one grandson. Sherry has been involved in a variety of arts and crafts since 1983 but her passion is for sculpting one-of-a-kind lifelike baby dolls with character and personality. Sherry Rawn is a self-taught artist whose first attempt at sculpting was in 1993 when together with her husband they set out to sculpt a Portrait sculpt of Sherry’s parents using porcelain. This was a time consuming project and with no formal training there were a lot of trails and errors. After this Sherry made a few dolls but the lack of sufficient resources in her area left Sherry frustrated and she returned to her full-time job, putting her passion for art and dolls on hold,
In 2004 Sherry discovered polymer clay on Ebay and little did she know at the time but this was the start of what turned out to be the turning point in her career. Sherry started sculpting babies almost immediately after receiving her first batch of polymer clay from Utah.
Sherry was very determined to create beautiful babies and display them internationally. As soon as she was satisfied with her creations she started to sell her one-of-a-kind babies to doll collectors all around the world, and because of this artist’s talent and exceptionally high standard with meticulous care to detail the doll collecting world loved her creations.
Sherry Rawn has been selling her one-of-a-kind creations for some time now and has since left her full-time job so that she can concentrate on doing what she loves. She has the full support of her family and is free to pursue her passions and dreams as an artist.
